VoiceLine Controller For GMS 2.3
A downloadable project
A small sound system specifically designed for voice lines, that can easily control which voice line to play, what to do when it starts playing, and or what to do after.
The code is simple and easy to implement, though it might take bit of effort depending on the number of voice lines you wish to use.
Instructions:
Scroll down to the bottom of the Radio's Step event to add voice lines as values to check for.
Duplicate the lines in other sections, that check whether the audio is playing or not, assign values, and instructs the object on what action to preform.
----
If you wish to perform an action at the start of a voice line, you may do so by writing that action in the Voice Line values section, at the very bottom of the Radio's step event.
Thank you for using this. Please send feedback if you can.
This Demo includes a small demonstration in which a character moves around the room, as instructed by the sample voice lines. The movement system for the character is based on one of Shaun Spalding's Platformer tutorials, which are currently available for free on YouTube.
If you have any inquiries about the code, or how it works, please don't hesitate to reach out on the support email (gaithat43@gmail.com)
